Team Ribbon is a playground designed as a sequence of play structures where children have to collaborate to continue. Each play structure consists of two superimposed bridges. The kid that is on the lower bridge can only continue if the kid on top does a specific action. The upper bridge leads to the lower bridge in the next play structure so that children need to swap roles: in the next game whoever was providing help will need to be helped, and so on.
The system consists of different play structures or modules, each one encouraging a different collaborative interaction between the kids. If the modules are arranged in a circle, a continuous circuit is created.
The different modules are made out of an anodized steel structure, coated with bright shades of blue. The walkable surfaces are made out of oak timber. Lighter elements, like handles, are made out of rubber and aluminium.
