Stairamp’s playful appearance comes from merging the principles of a ramp and a stair in a single furniture piece that resembles to a line that breaks into two different gestures. The design is conceived as if one plane of plywood was firstly inclined and then half of it was pulled at some points in order to create steps. The resulting shape combines the inclination of a RAMP, for the gravity to gently compact the books, and a STAIR to place objects in the front. Books are prevented from falling thanks to an integrated support that emulates another book. The triangular gaps between the ramp and the stair are used to fit lamps and seamlessly hide the wall supports and highlight the expression of the two bending plywood planes.
