Proposal for a pavillion in the courtyard of the Indian Embassy in Madrid, which would contain both office and sport space. In the design process we wanted to highlight two main elements that embody Indian culture as it is today: tradition and technology. Through the shape of the building we aim to manifest the Indian importance in terms of engineering nowadays, giving a highly technical image. At the same time the glass that covers the voids to the exterior is serigraphed with a traditional Indian pattern to address the traditional component of Indian culture.
The “second proposal” images correspond to an alternative design was commissioned as well.
